He woke her up and said in hushed tone, "somebody broke in". "What?" " i am going downstairs. Stay here and lock the door."
After few mintutes a loud thud and somebody shriked. She couldnt resist herself and ran down. Thank god it isnt her husband. She found him sitting on the steps he gave her a blank look and then she found it, the clearly lifeless body of the intruder.
"What have i done?" He was crying, he was afraid, shaking like a dry leaf in a strong breeze. " im going to the jail for sure who'll look after you and the kids?" He was murmuring to self.
She was in tears as well. He is all she got. Her parents disowned her when she chose him over the man of their choice. She couldnt lose the love of her life. Love is all she ever prayed for. And the kids? They do need an earning member. A jobless housewife cant do anything for her kids but she can definitely do something to save her husband ... the father of her kids.
She has been sentenced to 7 years rigorous imprisonment as she successfully made the court understand that it was an accident not an intentional cold blooded murder. The man broke into her house... she tried to stop him from stealing and he attacked her... in order to protect her modesty she hit him with her son's cricket bat.
She was released after 6 years for good conduct. She was taken aback that neither her husband nor their sons had come to receive her. She went to her home, but its not her anymore. Her husband got a new wife. They are really happy together... all of them her husband, his wife, her sons. Her sons, her own flesh and blood believe that she is a cold blooded murderer. She killed the husband of their new mom. Her world shattered..
What to do now? She has no place to go. She thought of committing suicide... but she is too cowardice... finally she knocked the door of the house where she had grown up... the door had been closed for so many years. To her utter surprise the door opened and she found her old ailing parents are waiting for her to return... they have been waiting for her since the day she left. They had indeed threatened her to disown but never meant it.... all her life she craved for love... true love... but it was right there unfortunately she had taken it for granted.
