Weird Sense of beauty

This is an Ethiopian tribal woman... Do you find her pretty??? Its grose isnt it.... not only grose but also very painful... its horrendous. The Suri tribes of Ethiopia has this weird sense to beauty.... the moment a Suri girl reaches puberty, she has to go through this traumatic experience... her bottom incisors (front teeth) are broken forcefully in order to insert a plate.

An eye for an eye... would ultimately make the whole society blind

Read two articles in ABP Ananda today that scared the shit out of me---
Firstly a mother arranged to gang rape a woman who happens to be the wife of the man who raped her minor daughter. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh... where a man raped a minor, convicted for the same and currently in jail. But the bereaved mother wasn't satisfied with the punishment and decided to conspire something equally heinous. She hired 3 men and convinced her husband to kidnap the poor wife of the convict and rape her one after another.... the lady is in critical condition. Apparently they believe in" an eye for an eye"... but these will make the whole society blind... being a woman god knows how she overlooked the ordeal of a raped woman...

The second incident took place in Chanchal, Malda, West Bengal. A woman tried to stop her husband from illegal organ(read kidneys) trading... and what did the hubby do??? Hr simply took her to a lonely place ...where three of his friend were already waiting for free sex... they took their turn to rape her. Her ordeal wasn't over... after this she was locked in a room so that she couldn't lodge a police complaint... thankfully she managed to escape. God knows what is happening....

Home made butter paneer... (without onion and very small amount of butter)

Ingredients - Paneer, butter, cheese spread/ fresh cream, potato, tomato, ginger paste,garam masala, curd, raisins, salt and sugar.

For 3 people- cut potatoes in small cubes...Put some oil/ butter on a pan... fry potatoes till they becomes golden brown... add salt while frying...  mince half tomato and add with the potatoes and fry... now mix 1 teaspoon ginger paste with 1 table spoon curd and mix well ... you may add little water to this paste... add it to the pan then add garam masala powder and sugar(1/1.5 teaspoon)... keep frying until oil comes out of it... now add water, raisins  and paneer cubes..let it boil until potato becomes soft... add 1.5 tsp of cheese spread/ fresh cream and boil for 1/2 minutes. Switch off the gas and add some butter ... mix well and serve with roti/ polao.

Today lets mourn for Safdar Hashmi... its Street Play Day

Safdar Hashmi is nothing but a legend. He is revered by almost every sane Indian. He was born in  Delhi on this day that is on 12 th April,1954. Raised in an extremely open and secular environment... graduated  from Saint Stephens College and then did his master from Delhi University in English literature. He was a communist and was an active member of the party as well. He even married one of his comrades and colleague Maloysree. He was associated with its theatrical wing IPTA. He cofounded Janam(Jana Natya Manch) Peoples Theater Front in 1973. In 1989 he was murdered while performing a street play named Halla bol(attack).it was 1 st January 1989 he went to  a village Jhandpur in Sahibabad in the outskirts of Delhi along with his group Janam to perform the drama on the pretext of Gaziabad Municipality elections.... his troop was attacked by political hoodlums and he was fatally injured. He died that day what most awe inspiring was that his better half went to the same place just two days after his demice and performed the same play..... what a lady.

God knows what's going on with the candidates of Samajwadi Party in this parliamentary elections!!!!! First some Azam Khan made an extremely derogatory remark about Indian Army... he tried to divide our martyrs in the Kargil war on the basis of there religion. He said that Kargil war was solely won by the Muslim soldiers. Hindu and Shikh soldiers did absolutely nothing. But the fact is more than 500 soldiers were killed... and out of them 11 were Muslims. That's not the point all the martyrs are equally dear to us. The whole country takes pride on Indian Army. They lack everything but definitely not courage.

Then came the party supremo Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav. He said in a rally that rape is a trivial mistake. Boys and girls fall in love... then things don't work... they mend their ways but the girl cries rape. Men make mistakes. Capital punishment is too much for such a minor crime. He also assured that if his party comes to power he would definitely do something to repeal the law... so that rapists might be dealt with leniency.

He said it on Thursday and to support him one of his comrade in arms Mr. Abu Azmi today proudly said that if any woman sleeps with a man other than her husband, no matter with or without her consents should be hanged till death. (Source- TOI)Unbelievable....  medieval or what?????

Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav today said that rape is nothing but a trivial mistake. The S.P. supremo said that guys and girls fall in love.... but things hardly fall into places.... so ultimately they break up and the girl cries rape.... unimaginable.... he is the father of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.... recently capital punishment was sentenced to three rapists in the Shakti Mills rape case in Mumbai. Mr. Yadav promised the masses that if his party comes into power he would do anything to repeal the law which provides life term for the rapists.... since boys make mistakes. Disgusting or what,......

The Willing Journey of a Misguided Girl- who was raped 67 times by 37 men in 40 days

She was only 16. A middle class girl whose father was a Post Master back then from the Suryanelli Village of Idduki District of Kerala. She had befriended a bus cleaner, named Raju at the age of 14 only and fell in love. On the fretful day of 16th January 1996 she was eloped from her school hostel at Munnar by her lover Raju. But surprisingly was abandoned during the journey, the deserted helpless girl sought help from a woman named Usha. Usha was traveling with a man named Dharmarajan, a lawyer by profession. The duo assured her that they would drop her to her aunt's place.

She trusted them blindly and was taken to a lodge where she was raped by this man Dharmarajan. Source- Google.

Her plight was not over yet. She was drugged and taken to various places in Tamilnadu and Kerala and was raped 67 times by 37 men ranging from Lawyer to Retired Professor to Business man and even Politicians. After 40 days she was released with a meager amount of money.

She reached her father's office and narrated the story... was taken to Hospitals and the Doctors who first examined her said that her private parts were so ruptured that a mere touch would induce blood (Source-Wiki). She was only 16.

FIR was lodged but the police wasnt cooperating... there was unnecessary delay in the investigation. In 1999 a Special Court was set up to deal with this case and a Special Investigation Team lead by the IG of Police investigated the matter. The Court sentenced rigorous imprisonment to all the accused and life term to Dharmarajan with a fine of Rs. 50,000/-.

But thats not the end of the story. on 20.01.2005 the whole country was shocked to hear the final judgement of the Kerala Highcourt. All 35 accused were acquitted even the life term of Dharmarajan was reduced to 5 years only. The fine imposed on him was reduced from Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 5,000/- only. The Bench termed the case as "the willing journey of a misguided girl". You may read the judgement in the link given below.

The Girl moved to Supreme Court where she left unheard for eight long years. In the meantime she was offered a Government job. She alongwith her parents had to shift her base due to hostility from the neighbors. After the Nirbhaya case in 2013 this particular case drew limelight. The Apex Court called the verdict of the Kerala High Court 'shocking' and set aside. The case was resend to the Kerala High Court.

Today Kerala High court convicted 24 accused and awarded rigorous imprisonment and also warded life term to Dharmarajan.

Justice delayed is truly Justice denied.
